The advanced course will help you refine your riding, learn how to change direction, control your speed, avoid accidental crossings with other kiters, and clear up any doubts you may have — so you can feel confident and become fully independent. Once you reach LEVEL 6, you'll receive a final certification that allows you to kite anywhere in the world.

The course is held in small groups of up to 3 people, and each student is coached individually in the water, just like a private lesson. It lasts for two half-day sessions, either in the morning or afternoon depending on wind conditions.

• Construction and aerodynamic differences between kites

• Review of general right-of-way rules

• Direction change techniques – tack and jibe

• Direction changes in toe side with downloop

• Speed control while riding upwind

• Techniques for handling overpowered conditions

• Testing different emergency systems at the end of the lesson

• Self-rescue and packdown – when and how to perform them
